PROJECT SUMMARY
As part of this advocacy-focused assignment, students first conducted independent academic research examining the evolving relationship between Interior Design and Interior Architecture before strategically integrating AI into the communication process. Building from their own evidence-based positions, students used AI to help synthesize complex research into concise professional advocacy letters addressed to ARIDO, exploring how emerging technologies can support strategic communication rather than replace original thinking. Throughout the process, students critically reflected on authorship, credibility, bias, persuasion, and professional responsibility, comparing AI-assisted outputs against their own written arguments to evaluate effectiveness, tone, and authenticity. The exercise positioned AI as a collaborative tool within professional practice while reinforcing the importance of human judgment, critical inquiry, and intellectual ownership in shaping the future of the discipline.
