Mapping Teaching Practice Through the FRAME Competencies
This systems map visualizes 26 interconnected teaching practices through the FRAME competency model at Georgian College. Rather than existing as isolated categories, the competencies emerge through overlapping ecosystems of research, emerging technology, inclusion, collaboration, reflection, futures thinking, and embodied learning.
Each practice is tagged using the FRAME competencies and competency levels (Emerging, Performing, or Transforming), revealing how transformative learning often happens through connection, iteration, and cross-pollination between systems.
STUDENT GROWTH THROUGH
INTERCONNECTED LEARNING SYSTEMS

GROWING THE ECOSYSTEM
Strengthening connections between learners, communities, and futures.
The ecosystem continues to evolve. These initiatives represent the next stage of growth, building on existing strengths while expanding opportunities for community impact, mentorship, and student-led research.

FEEDBACK
Reflecting Forward
Feedback from Georgian College Course Feedback Surveys, student reflections, peer observations, informal conversations, and written comments was consolidated and reviewed to identify recurring patterns across multiple years. Rather than focusing on individual responses, this process revealed three themes that will guide the continued evolution of my pedagogical practice: what to stop, what to start, and what to continue.
